The Boys Baseball team had their final senior night as Toppers on April 27th, ending with a triumph over Maplewood.

The players all lined up to give their final goodbyes to the rest of the team, with the seniors shaking their hands. The senior players are trying to make this season their best and are very sad to be the last Hillwood alumni.

“I’m sad it’s over, but happy I got to experience it,” senior Will Galloway said.

The team received their jerseys framed and senior posters to take home as a reminder of their time as Hillwood’s baseball team.

“My favorite memory was freshman year when me and a bunch of my teammates (and older brother) went out and egged some houses. It was super dumb, and we had to run a lot for it but it was definitely worth the fun with my team and created a great memory,” Galloway said.

To make a lasting memory and bonding time with their sons who soon will go off to college, the parents of the players threw first pitch to their sons.

When asked for a final quote to leave for his team, Galloway replied with a quote from Denzel Washington: “If you don’t fail. You’re not even trying. I’ll say it again. If you don’t fail, you’re not even trying.”
