The Lawson Track and Field Team has already started offseason workouts.
“As the Lawson Head Track Coach, I am very excited to build a program that’s bigger track and field,” Head Track Coach Brian Colon said.
On Saturday, March 2, The Lighting Track and Field Team will head to Wilson Central High School where they will participate in the Middle Tennessee Jamboree.
“We are building a program that will prepare “student-athletes” to become leaders and champions by placing a high level of focus on team values, integrity, character, sportsmanship, and victory on and off the track,” Colon said.
“I’m very excited to start,” sophomore KJ Davis said.
The Lawson Track team uses plyometrics to keep their bodies in peak condition for the start of the season.
“I think we have a lot of potential this year and I think we can be perfect this season,” sophomore Jacob Edwards said.
